The Michigan Coalition for Freedom, a bipartisan, non-profit advocacy group will be hosting the first of its

Gubernatorial Values Forums this month. The event will be held at the Deltaplex, Grand Rapids, on March 29th ,

with doors opening at 5:00pm.

Gubernatorial candidates will be invited to speak about their platforms, values, and personal beliefs before a live

audience, before taking questions.

Forum moderators will include former gubernatorial candidate and state senator, Patrick Colbeck, national

television presenter and host of America Shines, Aubrey Shines, and journalist, April Moss.

Broadcasters and media attendance will include Real America’s Voice and Salem Media Group.

The Grand Rapids forum will be followed with two additional events, to be held at the Kaufman Center, Marquette,

on May 27th, and Detroit, venue TBC, on June 18th .

The motivation behind these forums was recently summed up by founding board chairman, Apostle Ellis Smith,

noting, “Michigan voters have long wanted a more in-depth forum for engaging with political candidates on

values-based issues and concerns. The Michigan Coalition for Freedom will be focused on addressing that critical

credibility gap and providing more meaningful dialogue.”

In addition, the Michigan Coalition for Freedom is also working to identify, recruit, and train individuals desiring to

bring a Biblical values perspective back into state and local government policies.
