Stephanie Stevens, is the current Rapids Territory Field Representative for Turning Point USA which covers the western half of Michigan. Two years ago, with much dedication and persistence, Stephanie and other students started a Turning Point USA chapter that she led while she was attending Calvin University. Their work has paid off and the chapter was officially recognized by Turning Point this past summer! In addition, Stephanie is a precinct delegate, volunteers with Turning Point Action, and attends as many political events and meetings as possible to stay active and involved in the community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, weightlifting, exploring new coffee shops, traveling with her husband, and spending time in the Word of God.

MORE TO KNOW ABOUT STEPHANIE STEVENS FROM OUR UNITE FOR MICHIGAN Q&A:

Q. If you were not in your current role/endeavor, what would you be doing instead?

A. I honestly cannot envision myself doing anything else outside of what I am doing right now because I feel so strongly that I am right where I am supposed to be. However, if I was not doing what I am currently doing with Turning Point, I would most likely be owning and operating a coffee shop!

Q. What has been the biggest impact in your industry or life in the last 5 years?

A. The biggest impact on my life in just this past year, was getting married to my husband who is my best friend that encourages me and lifts me up in all that I do!

Q. Where do you see yourself or business in 5 years?

A. In 5 years, I see myself as a mama of a couple children, being actively involved in my community and in local politics. I also would love to still be working with Turning Point USA and would also like to be a fitness trainer.

Q. Who do you most admire or are inspired by, and why?

A. There are so many people I admire and am inspired by, but one person that I continually look up to, is my dad. He has a huge heart and has been my biggest supporter throughout my entire life. I also am inspired by Esther in the Bible because she was courageous knowing that she was created for such a time as this, which is what I believe about myself and others who are standing for truth during these crazy times.

Q. What organization is top on your list to provide support?

A. Turning Point USA

Q. What is the biggest need you face in your business or organization today?

A. The biggest need for TPUSA on campuses in West Michigan, is for professors to support conservative students. We have chapters that want to get started but struggle to find professors who are courageous enough to stand behind students and help them become official TPUSA chapters with their schools.
